This is the overview page. If you already know the job, go straight to the service that fits it; if you are still working out what you need, start here. We run five roll-off sizes out of the yard at 1725 Broad River Road — 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yard — on flat-rate pricing that includes delivery, pickup, the rental period and disposal up to the container's tonnage. Dale Carver has run this outfit with his sons since 2014. See all five container sizes side by side.

What is included matters more than the headline. Every set comes with protection boards under the rails, a driver who will walk the placement with you rather than dropping it where it is easiest, and a phone number that gets answered. Same-day delivery is real when you call early and the route allows it, next-day is the reliable default, and next-day swaps keep an active jobsite moving. Our Columbia pricing guide explains what changes a flat rate and what does not.

The service radius runs from Broad River Road across Richland and Lexington counties and out past both — Chapin, Blythewood, Elgin, Camden, Winnsboro, Eastover, Gaston and Batesburg-Leesville. That spread crosses four separate permitting jurisdictions, which is the part people trip over. If you have never rented one of these, the Columbia size guide is the fastest way to get the size right the first time, and the section below explains how to describe a job so we can size it over the phone.

The Five Sizes And What They Are For

10 Yard

Small and low-sided. Right for concrete, brick, dirt and roofing tear-off, where weight fills the box long before volume does, and right for a single-room clear-out.

15 Yard

The size that fits a narrow Shandon or Elmwood Park driveway. Good for a garage, a shed teardown, a small bath refresh or a modest house tear-off.

20 Yard

The workhorse for Columbia house work and most commercial fit-outs. Attic, garage, carport and shed in one box, and it still sits in a striped parking bay.

30 Yard

New residential framing and drywall phases, whole-house cleanouts and multi-suite commercial turnovers. High volume of light material, so we swap it on trade dates rather than upsizing the box.

40 Yard

Big commercial build-outs, builder accounts and large demolition. Needs real length on the site to set and to pick up, so we confirm the approach before delivery.

What The Flat Rate Includes

Delivery, pickup, the rental period and disposal up to the container's tonnage allowance, plus protection boards. Overweight and extended days are the only usual additions.

Same-Day And Next-Day

Call before the cut-off and same-day is often possible on an existing route. Next-day is the dependable default and next-day swaps keep jobsites from stalling.

Swaps On Active Jobs

Full box out, empty box in, usually the next working day. Builder accounts get swaps scheduled against trade dates rather than a phone call every time.

Describing Your Job So We Size It Right

Do not give us square footage. Give us rooms and outbuildings, or squares and layers on a roof, or the trade phase on a jobsite. Tell us whether crawlspace repair is part of it, because wet insulation and rotted joists change the answer from a volume problem to a weight problem. Tell us if plaster and lath is coming out, because the historic stock closes a container out on weight looking half full. Tell us if concrete or brick is involved, because that needs its own low-fill box through heavy debris service. Then check the size against our Columbia size guide or ring the yard. If you are between two sizes, take the smaller box and plan a swap. Compare the full size chart before you book.

Service Radius And Four Sets Of Rules

We run daily out of Broad River Road across Columbia, Richland County and Lexington County, and out to Chapin, Blythewood, Elgin, Camden, Winnsboro, Eastover, Gaston and Batesburg-Leesville. See the full service area list for the towns we cover. That radius crosses four separate permitting jurisdictions — Richland, Lexington, Kershaw and Fairfield counties — and the municipalities inside them, including Columbia, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, Irmo, Lexington and Blythewood, run their own rules again. A container sitting on your own private driveway is straightforward in every one of them. A container in a street or right-of-way is a different conversation in each one, and the requirements are revised independently, so confirm with the jurisdiction that actually holds your address rather than the one next door.

Not sure this is the right service? Describe the job on the phone and we will point you at the right container even if it is a different service page. Call (803) 931-4568.

Roll-Off Dumpster Rental FAQs

What is included in the flat rate?

Delivery, pickup, the rental period and disposal up to the container's tonnage allowance, plus protection boards under the rails on every set. The only usual additions are going over the weight allowance or keeping the box longer than the standard period, and we tell you both before you book. We do not quote by the pound after the fact. Ring the yard and describe the job and you will get the whole number up front.

How long do I get to keep the container?

Standard rental covers a normal-length job and we extend if the work runs long, as long as you call before the scheduled pull. Jobsites usually run on swaps instead: full box out, empty box in, next working day. The one time to plan tightly is a newer subdivision with covenant day limits around Northeast Columbia, Chapin or Blythewood, where we book the drop and the pull inside the window the HOA allows.

Which size should I take if I am between two?

The smaller one, plus a swap if you need it. An oversized container costs you more and cannot be filled past its weight limit anyway, and on Columbia jobs weight is usually what runs out first — plaster, heart pine, wet crawlspace insulation and roofing all hit tonnage before volume. Take the smaller box, load it properly and call for a swap. Our size guide walks through real Columbia examples.

Do you deliver outside Richland and Lexington counties?

Yes. From the Broad River Road yard we run regularly to Chapin, Blythewood, Elgin, Camden, Winnsboro, Eastover, Gaston and Batesburg-Leesville, which reaches into Kershaw and Fairfield counties. Give us the address when you call rather than the town name, because the county line runs through some odd places here and the Congaree splits Richland from Lexington right through the middle of the city.

Do I need a permit, and who issues it?

That depends on where the container sits and which of four jurisdictions holds your address. Private driveway placement generally needs nothing. Street or right-of-way placement generally does. Start with Richland County or Lexington County, then check the city or town, because Columbia, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, Irmo and Blythewood each set their own. Requirements change without much announcement, so confirm before your delivery date.
